 * I’ve installed wordpress 2.71 for jobcrowds.com(netfirms hosting).It’s up and
   running.
 * I tried installing wordpress for jobnol creating a different Database in Netfirms
   hosting.
 * When I run the install script,it says “already installed” and jobnol.com forwards
   to first domain jobcrowds.com.
 * Please guide me installing wordpress for multiple domains with seperate databases
   on the same hosting.

 * I’m not familiar with netfirms hosting, but speaking in general, you should do
it the same way you did the first install.
 * If you would like to try installing using the same database, see the following
   video.

 * I’m looking for guidance in installing multiple websites with seperate or individual
   database.
 * Precisely I’d like to install multiple websites to the same root directory.

 * with wordpress you can only do this with folders or subdirectories

 * Thanks Moderator,
 * WordPress installation for Domain 1-jobcrowds.com is up and running.WP files
   are in Root Directory.
 * Again when I uploaded WP files to either the root directory or folder jobnol.
com(domain2) and ran the install script jobnol.com/wp-admin/install.php,I got
   the message “Already Installed”.
 * This is what I’m looking for
 * jobcrowds.com and jobnol.com should be two different wordpress installations
   with 2 different database

 * If you have separate databases you definitely shouldn’t get the “Already Installed”
   message
so look in the second db and see if tables were created sounds to me,
though like you are connecting to the same db – in which case you will need to
   change the `$table_prefix` in `wp-config.php`

 * I am currently trying to emulate a similar design and create separate sub sites
accessible from my main site via secure login. I have created a separate folder
in httpdocs installed WordPress 2.9.1., Studiopress Streamline theme 3.0 and
a separate database. I have assigned the wp-config.php in the new folder to the
new database. The new /subsite pulls up as another Streamline theme site as I
wanted but when you click on any link you get re-directed back to the main site?
Here is a link to a diagram of what I am attempting to accomplish [http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/rS9yTxCMll9vMgwP2YZyRQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCLmNqoTf3LiFBg&feat=directlink](http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/rS9yTxCMll9vMgwP2YZyRQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCLmNqoTf3LiFBg&feat=directlink)
It has been suggested to that I need to move the WP site in my root folder to
a sub-folder as well. Or configure root .htaccess file to route all calls to
the ‘bar’ site first before the main site’s rewrite rules kick in. I have two
sub folders/subsites that were both experiencing the same problem and getting
re-directed back to the main site. One sub folders .htaccess was re-installed
and that fixed the problem for that one /subsite. Now the second /subsite is
being re-directed to the now working /subsite??? I am not sure how alter the
permissions to the .htaccess to make it work if that is the problem. Has anyone
else attempted this type of site design and or experienced this problem. Thanks
   in advance for any suggestions.
