I have created a separate folder in httpdocs installed WordPress 2.9.1., Studiopress Streamline theme 3.0 and a separate database. I have assigned the wp-config.php in the new folder to the new database. The new /subsite pulls up as another Streamline theme site as I wanted but when you click on any link you get re-directed back to the main site? Or configure root .htaccess file to route all calls to the ‘bar’ site first before the main site’s rewrite rules kick in. I have two sub folders/subsites that were both experiencing the same problem and getting re-directed back to the main site. One sub folders .htaccess was re-installed and that fixed the problem for that one /subsite. Now the second /subsite is being re-directed to the now working /subsite??? I am not sure how alter the permissions to the .htaccess to make it work if that is the problem. Has anyone else attempted this type of site design and or experienced this problem.
