# Multisite Network Paths

 * We have WP Multisite (WP 4.0) running 41 subsites, path based… mysite.com/school8,
   mysite.com/school9, etc.
 * Everything runs fine with the network of sites, but all pages under each network
   adds /index/… before the page name. So instead of mysite.com/school8/about/ or
   mysite.com/school8/news/, it goes to mysite.com/school8**/index/**about/ and 
   mysite.com/school8**/index/**news/
 * WP is adding /index/ to all school pages except their home page. What is causing
   this/what is the solution?

 * Was it like that before you activated multisite? That sounds like a permalink
   issue.

 * No, this was a new network started in the spring, so it was like this when I 
   took over the sites recently. I don’t see anything wrong with the permalinks 
   from the Dashboard. The Network Setup configuration is exactly what is in our
   wp-config and .htaccess files so I’m at a loss?
