 * I have created a Multisite (did it years ago and so I can’t really remember how
i did it), I’ve set it up so that I can create an alias in the cpanel and then
create a ‘new site’ via the multisite dashboard with the same name and it operates
like a new installation of wordpress. for each of these new ‘installations/sites’,
where can I find the folder within the root folders of the subsite?

 * There’s none. The subsites’ root directories are virtual.
 * What problem are you trying to solve by accessing the subsite’s root directories?
I might be able to offer you an alternative solution.
