• Hi,

I would like to create a website which has multi-language options. However, my main site may have more pages than the other language one. I don’t want to have exactly the same pages for both language. For example, I want to create a page in English but I don’t want the same page in Spanish. I want to use same theme which I bought from a company, use same plugins for both language. Thus, using the multisite for multi-language is the best option as I see.

    Here is my question:
I have a domain from a company and I would like to use wordpress hosting service.
Can a build a multisite by using my domain from a company and the wordpress domain?

So maybe you have figured this out by now, but I’m not clear from your question whether by “WordPress hosting service”, you mean a wordpress.com site, WordPress VIP hosting, or a hosting account you have purchased.

You would not be able to have multisite in a wp.com site, you might be able to do this with a VIP account, and would would definitely be able to create a multisite in a self-hosted account–as long as that host supports wildcard domains.

You didn’t ask this, but especially if you aren’t worried about keeping the sites exacty parallel in content, I wouldn’t use multisite for this project– I would create two separate sites.
