 * Hello,
 * I have a multisite hosting site 1, site 2 and site 3. Sites 2 and 3 are copies
   of site 1. My images source from local folders:
 * [https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/logo.png](https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/logo.png)

   [https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2022/11/logo.png](https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2022/11/logo.png)
   [https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2022/11/logo.png](https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2022/11/logo.png)
 * Since all my sites are almost identical, I want them to source from the same
   folder, so that they all pull from:
 * [https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/logo.png](https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/logo.png)
 * So far I have:
 * Changed the “url_path” and “upload_path” to be “[https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/&#8221](https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/&#8221);
 * Search&replace “/sites/2” in my “site2” database.
 * These efforts have not lead to changing site 2 to serve images straight from
   the upload folder.
 * Is there something in the multisite mechanic that I need to change in order for
   all sites to pull images fro upload folder root and not from the “sites/x/” substructure?

      Reason: moved to Networking WordPress since this is a multisite issue

 * Hi [@prokops](https://wordpress.org/support/users/prokops/) ,
 * I am not an expert in this domain but since there have been no replies in the
   topic for a few days I would like to chip in.
 * Since Media items are Custom Post types, making a multisite WordPress to add/
   fetch/source media from one of the subsites for all subsites might not be possible
   easily.
 * One technique you can adapt if you are trying to manage all your media from one
   location is you can upload all your media on the main site then you can link/
   embed those media on the subsites manually with their URLs.
 * I also found a plugin that could do similar to what you are looking for that
   is linked next. But please note I have not tested this plugin and the plugin
   does not seems be updated for quite some time so use it with caution and make
   sure to test before using it.
