# Multisite Installation

 * this seems to be an interesting plugin. Could it be installed on a multisite?
   Whenever I try it, it old me that twentyhirteen needs styles, but it is (network)
   activated.

 * Styles was built with multisite in mind. In fact, all the demos on [stylesplugin.com](http://stylesplugin.com)
   are running on a single multisite install.
 * I think the issue you are running into is the difference between `activating`
   and `network activating` a theme. Unlike plugins, network activating a theme 
   only makes it *possible* to use the theme on various sites in your network. It
   does not actually *activate* it for all sites.
 * The message you are saying basically means, “TwentyThirteen is *available* on
   all your sites, but it isn’t *active* on your current site. Please activate it.”
 * The only step you need to take is to go into your child site that you want to
   use Styles on, and activate TwentyThirteen.
 * Also, please make sure that for TwentyThirteen, you have installed both [Styles](http://wordpress.org/plugins/styles)
   and [Styles: TwentyThirteen](http://wordpress.org/plugins/styles-twentythirteen).
   The prompt should have a link for doing that.
