# Multisite network setup problem

 * I’ve tried to install multisite network based on WP3 for 30 or more times, but
   I can’t make it work. The problem is TLD domains (like [http://www.site.com](http://www.site.com))
   do not work.
 * I’ve used these 2 tutorials:

 * and:
    [http://ottopress.com/2010/wordpress-3-0-multisite-domain-mapping-tutorial/](http://ottopress.com/2010/wordpress-3-0-multisite-domain-mapping-tutorial/)
 * I’ve completed first tutorial and made first 3 steps of second one.
 * Now, I can’t make my subdomain site work. Also, additional TLD doesn’t work with
   WP installation. I wonder how can I fix it? I guess it’s DNS or .htaccess problem.
 * My .htaccess file contants only code that WP gave me…

 * You have to get the subdomains sites working FIRST.
 * you cannot use a TLD unless you get the subsite working – either subdomains or
   subfolders.
 * Did you follow the wildcard subdomain steps? Yes or no?
 * Also:

 * Do that first. Make sure the subsites WORK. Do not try making any TLD work yet.
