# multisite plug-in failure

 * I’m a wordpress novice, at best, but I had a nice looking website at columbiamolocksmith.
   com. I wanted to add my page to a different domain that I own, comolock.com. 
   I watched a youtube video, [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpY9gzQU4QI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpY9gzQU4QI)
   and did exactly what it said, so I think anyway, now i’m getting an error when
   i go to my site:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘?>’, expecting ‘)’ in /home/columb74/public_html/
   wp-content/plugins/multidomain/config.php on line 49
    I literally can’t do anything
   now. I hit the back button on my browser and filled in the text that i changed
   with what was in it before, still didn’t fix the problem. I have no idea what
   to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.

 * First of all, this is not actually a multisite issue — multisite is multiple 
   WP sites in a network. You are talking about making multiple domains go to the
   same site using the plugin “MultiDomain”. [I’ll be moving this back to the general
   Troubleshooting forum]
 * Second of all, this plugin has not been updated in over 2 years. That’s not usually
   a good sign.
 * Third, you may not want to actually have two domains running on the same site
   in the way that the video shows, since you might be penalized by search engines
   for having duplicated content.
 * What you might want to do INSTEAD is redirect your second domain to the website
   at it’s original domain. That is, set it up so that when someone types in comolock.
   com, they are taken to the site at columbiamolocksmith.com.
 * There are a number of plugins to do this, or you can do it pretty easily by adding
   a bit of code to the .htaccess file in the root of your site.
