# Multisite RSS feeds failed. …

 * When I try to subscribe to any of my RSS feeds, I get this error.
 * > Can’t subscribe to feed because: the server returned an unexpected response
   > code: 404 not found.
 * > Object not found!
   > The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page
   > seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about 
   > the error.
   > If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
   > Error 404
 * I searched in the support archives, and found nothing that seemed to resolve 
   the error.

 * 1) Turn off ALL your plugins.
 * 2) Make sure RSS feeds are actually on.
 * 3) Resave your permalinks.
 * If all that fails, can you share some URLs?

 * And your feed address should be yourdomain.com/feed/ Go visit that url directly.

 * Thank you both for showing me a path. … Upon further reading, and attempts to
   correct the problem, I came to the ultimate conclusion. …
 * I screwed up the update process.
 * In trying to fix the problem I went to modify the .htaccess file, only to discover
   that the .htaccess was non-existent.
 * Ooops.
 * I put the .htaccess in its place, and all was as it should be.
