# Multisite Subdirectory help

 * Created a multisite subdirectory configuration. The primary site is [http://www.mysite.com](http://www.mysite.com).
   We would like all subsites to be under [http://www.mysite.com/locations/site1,site2](http://www.mysite.com/locations/site1,site2),
   etc.
 * I do not want to install the main site under the [http://www.mysite.com/locations](http://www.mysite.com/locations)
   directory for obvious reasons.

 * To create your multisite, start by setting it up on your main domain. Then, add
   a subsite as usual. Next, log in to your hosting account or FTP and create a “
   locations” folder in the public_html directory. Within the “locations” folder,
   create a folder for each subsite, such as “site1”. Finally, to update the subsite
   URLs, go to My Sites > Network Admin > Sites, and click the Edit button for each
   subsite. Make sure to include the /locations directory in the site URL.
