# Multisite – WooCommerce – database update

 * We have 50 sites and 30 of them are actively using WooCommerce.
    I have updated
   WooCommerce and this message pops up. “WooCommerce database update required” 
   It appears that I have to click the link (button) on all 30 sites.
 * Can this be done as one, maybe via the command line?

 * That’s a good question! You can update the WooCommerce database via the command-
   line, using **[WP CLI](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/WC-CLI-Overview)**.

 * I’ve run the command, get this output:
 * `Success: No updates required. Database version is 6.0.0`
 * However, on the sub-site, the admin message “WooCommerce database update required”
   remains active.

   to update the WooCommerce database on the _sub-site_, as you stated.
