 * Hi!
 * We have recently signed up to the API and first off, I want to say that it seems
   to be doing the job very nicely!
 * My question is two part. We have a multi install with over 100 sites and we also
   use NextGen Galleries. Fistly how do I optimise the existing images within NG
   Galleries without adding the location to “Folders To Optimise” within network
   admin?
 * NextGen is quite happy with a path like this: “/wp-content/blogs.dir/%BLOG_ID%/
   files/” but changing this to a non relative path like this: “/wp-content/blogs.
   dir/” would mean that any one of the blogs administrators could easily start
   the bulk optimisation process of in excess of 250,000 images on the entire platform!
 * If we enable it site by site I can of course specify the settings for each site
   but I really like the idea of the settings being at network level.
 * Any help will be appreciated!
 * Kind regards,
    Shane

 * There should be a Bulk Optimizer at the bottom of the NextGEN menu on each site,
   that will allow you to do all the existing images.

 * Hi, Thank you for getting back so quickly. Unfortunatly, I don’t see the link
   you talk about.
 * Example:
    ⌊Wp Admin⌉
 * We are currently running: NextGEN Gallery Version 2.1.62. Network activated.
 * Kind regards,
    Shane

 * Hi,
 * Just as an update, it seems that it’s something within the network activation
   that is causing the above issue. If the plugin is network activated I do not
   get a NGG Bulk Optimise. If I activate site by site I do.
 * Kind regards,
 * Shane.

 * Thanks for letting me know, that is entirely possible, as I use my test multisite
   setup for testing out nextcellent, so I’ve never had NextGEN 2.x active on there.

 * Hmm, just setup a dev environment with NextGEN 2, EWWW, and multisite, and network
   activated both plugins, and it works just fine. Do you have both plugins activated
   network-wide? Or is NextGEN site-by-site?

 * Hi Thanks for looking into it.
 * NextGEN is network activated and if I enabled EWWW per site, I get the Bulk optimise
   in all the right places within NextGEN. If I network activate EWWW those options
   disapear and I only have the bulk optimise under the media menu.
 * I have also noticed some issues with the Object caching/Memcache on WP Engine.
   For example, when I initially activate the plugin on a sub site, I enter my API
   key then save the settings. The page then refreshes but loads blank. The API
   key then only reappears, and gives an “All Clear” once the WP Engine caches have
   been purged. Through my.wpeninge.com I have tried excluding the plugin from caching
   altogether but that doesn’t appear to have made a difference. It feels like the
   plugin storing directly to the Database on save but is loading the fields on
   load from Transients/Memcache. It certainly feels like thats what it’s doing.
   If your able to check this also that would be wonderful 🙂
 * Kind regards,
    Shane

 * Sorry for not following up sooner on this. If there is a caching issue, I would
   check with wpengine (I host with them too), to see if they can offer any insight
   on making sure the options are stored & cached properly.
