 * It is the first time that I heard about multisite network and such a URL as [http://xxx/http://yyy.jpg](http://xxx/http://yyy.jpg).
   May I get a real world example to investigate the issue?

 * I didn’t explain very well – but if I upload the external media on the main network–
   then the external media url works perfectly:

 * When I try to access this media in one of the network sub blogs, the external
   media url becomes:
 * [https://sub-blog.com/site2/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/](https://sub-blog.com/site2/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/)**
