 * I have been able to set up a wordpress blog. I have PHP installed and I downloaded
   MySQL free from [http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/](http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/)
 * I would now like to add the blog to my domain, how do I do this, could someone
give me detailed instructions? the codex has not been too helpful.
 * Do I need MySQL on my webhost or is downloading it for free alright? I have been
able to set it up and I open MAMP and get to manage my blog, just need to publish
   to a domain. Please help.

 * MySQL and PHP have to be installed on your host server. If they don’t have it
installed, consider writing them a friendly letter asking to install it (or ask
whether or not they are installed.) Does the admin area of your website use some
kind of control panel? If so, you should be able to quickly see if these are
installed. Most hosts use cPanel, and on this interface the information about
your server is on the sidebar to the left. It will display the Apache version,
the PHP version, and the MySQL version (along with all the other software packages
   installed on the server.)

 * Nothing has been changed since your last post:

 * You need a host that **has** PHP and MySQL installed on their server.
    I repeat
what I said in the other thread: having a local install and having a hosted WP
installation are two different things – they have nothing to do with each other.
