 * Hi, I am having a problem using PhpMyAdmin to export and import, I’ve followed
   the directions at [http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/backup/](http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/backup/),
but when I try importing the database I get this message: MySQL said: Documentation
   #
1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds
to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘cat_ID` int(4)
NOT NULL auto_increment, cat_name\` varchar(55 It should be noted that I am trying
to import the database in every exported format ( unzipped, zipped, etc ) and
still no luck. I am also trying to use this with both WP 1.2 and 1.3. I use WP
OneClick backup with WP 1.2 and I am able to import/export, problem is I was
trying to use OneClick with the 1.3 beta and it’s not compatible since no updates
have been made for 1.3 and like I mentioned, PhPMyAdmin seems pretty useless
right now. If anyone can help with I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

 * Trial and error now:
    1. Using the unzipped backup, open it in Notepad (or another
basic text editor). Click the SQL tab in phpmyadmin, and then copy and paste
the entire file into the sql box and click Go. If no: 2. Again open file in Notepad.
Note that each section of the backup deals with a specific table, so copy and
paste a complete section into the sql box, click Go, when that’s done repeat
If no: If (2) gave an error on a single part, that’s the bit which needs cutting
out from the whole thing, but that depends on which part it is (am I making sense….?),
so if the above gives no joy, email me the unzipped export, I’ll see what I can
do and I’ll get back to you. (I wrote the stuff at tamba2, so you can trust me
   🙂 )

 * Great! The first option worked. Thanks, you saved me a lot of hair pulling 🙂
