authors, it only get about 50 visits a day maybe. the database is rather large though i think it’s 46MB with 25000 records or something like that * It killed the new reseller sever and i was only ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mysql-server-issues/#post-712729) * First of all, what do you mean it’s “killed” the server… do you mean high CPU usage? * If so, then the email they sent you doesn’t really make sense, as some of the numbers on the “new” server look better than the old. The email they sent doesn’t speak to the exact problem….hm. * If it’s CPU usage that’s the dilemma, have you checked to see if you have wp- cron.php running on a high rotation schedule? It could be that with all the work you’ve been doing in Admin, each job was pinging the server as the wp-cron.php was moving the jobs through. * . * Thread Starter [smith201981](https://wordpress.org/support/users/smith201981/) * (@smith201981) * [18 years, 2 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mysql-server-issues/#post-712783) * CPU usage, i looked around not sure hot to change the rotation schedule. but that could of been a reasons for a spike. The database was also not optimized so it had 10 MB of extra junk in it. * Do you have any idea what the best way to setup Indexes would be if i have a site with multiple thousands of posts? or how exactly is the best way to setup a site like that? It does not get much traffic at all.
