Namecheap

Well, Namecheap has done it again, they have made sure that we cannot use this plugin. Please tell me that there is a workaround.

Hi @tamierp,
what do you see exactly when installing/opening Really Simple SSL? Could you send us a screenshot of what you are seeing exactly?
I am not sure how to post a screenshot. Here is a link https://photos.app.goo.gl/L7L6qqV68mzZNnZw5

Hi @tamierp,
Thank you for your screenshot, I have relayed it to the developers who are looking into it. Thank you for your patience.
Kind regards,
Kim van Dijk@tamierp did you test your domain on https://ssllabs.com/ssltest?
If it shows up with a good grade, you can override the ssl detection and activate ssl.

It says “not trusted”
I tried to create a certificate manually. Below is what happened. I was following someone of Youtube and I do not have the same files under acme.sh as he does and it looks like it is registering with zerossl and not letsencrypt. Could that be the problem? If so, how do I fix it?

Hi @tamierp,
We can only support the generation of Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates with the Really Simple SSL plugin.
To get started with the generation of a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate in Really Simple SSL, click the “Install SSL certificate” button displayed in your screenshot. This will bring up the Let’s Encrypt Wizard in the plugin.
Then follow the steps provided in the Wizard to generate an SSL certificate for your website. You can refer to our earlier article for detailed instructions per step: https://really-simple-ssl.com/generate-an-ssl-certificate-with-lets-encrypt/
Kind regards,
JarnoYes, I did that. This is the result and why I am here asking for help.
Hi @tamierp,
When looking at the screenshot of the Really Simple SSL Dashboard that you had attached earlier on in the thread, I see the notice “Install SSL certificate” (screenshot below).

You can click that button to open the Let’s Encrypt Wizard in the plugin, and start generating an SSL certificate using the provided steps. If there’s any step in our plugin where you get stuck during the generation, we’d gladly have a closer look.
Kind regards,
JarnoHi @tamierp,
We haven’t heard from you in a while, is the issue resolved? We are happy to help you further.
Kind regards, Kim van Dijk
