Navigation – arrows and Exit

Can I make the left/right navigation arrows thicker and different colors?

Also if I am use the Thumbnail short code the “X” to exit is not very visible – can I change the color of that too?

I found this in the docs:

.df-ui-nav .df-ui-btn:before {
color: gray;
filter: none;
}

But how can I make the “X” a different color and change the size of the navigation arrows.
