# Need A Code Compliant Theme

 * I am using the code validator at [http://validator.w3.org/](http://validator.w3.org/)
 * I am looking for a free theme that can be validated with that service. A simple
   theme will do like the classic them that is supplied with wordpress.
 * Alternatively is there a way to correct the code?
 * But a validated theme would be much better.

 * Look in the [Themes directory](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/); all themes
   which validate will say so. You can correct code in a theme that doesn’t validate
   through the WP theme editor or with a text editor and FTP, but you need to read
   the error report and know a bit about HTML.
