# Need help downgrading

 * Hi,
 * I have been using your plug-in for a while and really love it. However, I recently
   updated from the 1.x version and it doesn’t appear to be compatible with my setup.
   Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but for example under the Posts/Reorder 
   menu the Select Menu is grayed out. Same for the Products/Reorder Menu. Clicking
   the Enable manual sorting button in the settings gives me a blank page.
 * Everything worked well before updating so I think I just need to downgrade. I
   am worried that if I replace the current plug-in folder with a 1.x version I 
   will lose my table information and have to reorder everything again. Can you 
   explain how I can reinstall to a previous version while keeping the 1.x settings?
   Or maybe just point me to an FAQ which explains it.

 * sorry to readd your troubles.
 * The major difference between v1.x and v2.x is the way the data is stored.
 * v1.x used a custom DB table which if you haven’t deleted you can simply overwrite
   the plugin folder with the last 1.x version (which you can download from the 
   bottom of this [page](https://wordpress.org/plugins/reorder-post-within-categories/advanced/)).

 * this is odd, and may be due to an error on the server side which you can trace
   if you enable your WP_DEBUG mode.
