need to update admin email

    Hi!

    I am trying to update my admin email on my ww.wp.xz.cn site. I have followed the directions in a previous thread(tagged above), but I am still having the same problem. Whenever I updated and save the profile the information doesn’t change.

    Any advice/help would be great!

    Hi Cydney! Have you tried changing the email for the site and the admin user? I would recommend updating the email in these locations:

    1. Setting > General > Administration Email Address

    2. Users > Hover over the admin’s username to click on Edit > Email

    Both options should send an email to the new email address. Have you received an email after updating from these locations?

    Hi Roxy! I have tried both of these methods and haven’t received an email.

    I am not sure what is going on.

    @a1aitech Here is something that might help: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-change-the-wordpress-admin-email/

    Its a bit of a shortcut but you can try this too – just add a new user with a new email, assign admin rights to it and delete your old account. It worked for me.
