# Need WordPress with MS-SQL

 * Hello WP experts,
 * I am using a ecommerce store that is on IIS server, where I am using MS SQL server
   and now I want to integrate/setup my worpress blog in windows server with MS-
   SQL Database.
    Please suggest me, if anyone have any option to do that.
 * Necessary Requirement: We have to use MS-SQL instead of My-SQL.
    Please help!!

 * That’s a 6 year old topic (which I remember too, scary) and I don’t recommend
   that you take that thread too seriously as much has changed in 6 years.

 * Don’t use WordPress? I know that is a odd response coming from a WordPress moderator
   but the requirements to run WordPress but mysql is a hard requirement.

 * I do not doubt that you can get it working with MS SQL but you’ll have a completely
   unsupportable configuration and it will break when WordPress updates.
