if your blog is hosted on WordPress.com, please check with the support team there….
Due to the differences between the free hosted blogs offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask WordPress.com Support instead.
So you mean I should’ve have bothered to have created a profile and account here just to seek support? I think you may have answered my question.
If I have GoDaddy and paid, is that self-installed? Excuse my ignorance but none of the terms you just described are clear to me. I’m brand new at this and find it very confusing.
OK, if you’re on GoDaddy, that’s self installed. you had cited “exampleblog.wordpress.com”. That’s NOT on GoDaddy.
Does exampleblog.com point to your GD site?
Exampleblog.com does point to GD blog setup.
sentimentalson.com and sentimentalson.wordpress.com I didn’t provide them because they’re not active, and are under construction. I don’t want the name publicized.
yup, sentimentalson.com (great domain name, by the way) points to GoDaddy and is a wordpress site, so I’m not sure what’s the issue here. The site you have on wordpress.com has no real content, so there’s no need to migrate anything.
Great, I appreciate your help. I was trying to make it sentimentalSon, but I can’t seem to do that. And I need the site on wordpress.com deleted. I can’t see both or I will get confused.
Thanks for your compliment on the domain name. It refers to the genealogy research I did to find my natural father, a military vet and writer who passed just a year after I met him. That’s what all this is about. I’ll refer to the WordPress.com for more detailed support.
