# New event shortcode question

 * Hi,
 * I tied this shortcode to list the new events, but in vain:
 * [events per_page=”12″ orderby=”modified”]
 * The order seems to be random, however, I would like to see latest added / modified
   events on the top of the list.
 * Please be so kind and let me know, wht is the right shortcode for this.
 * In an another topic you suggested to use the publish date, but in your documentation
   I found only this:
 * Orderby – Supports title, ID, name, modified, parent, rand, event_start_date
