Hello – I have a new install of ratingwidget but when I click “Allow & Continue” it just returns to the same page with the same button. Doesn’t seem to activate.

I have never used Ratingwidget before so I’m not sure if I need to register somewhere else for the rating service or not.

    Thanks!
    Jon

Hi @ticojon, what version of the plugin did you install?

Version 2.6.2 – the one that came up in the plugins search.

It’s probably a bug on our side – sorry for that. If you are willing to give us a chance to fix it, I’m happy to investigate this for you right away. Please send me a temporary admin access to your dashboard via [email protected] and I’ll get to work πŸ™‚

    We are on it!

Hi @ticojon, we just fixed the issue. We had a security measurement validating that the site_url and the wp_admin_url are on the same sub-domain. In your case, since the site is hosted on HostGator, the wp_admin_url is located on https://gatorXXX.hostgator.com/…

We disabled this check, and the install works well now.

Note: Some of the emails we sent actually use the site_url for links to the dashboard. Due to our wrong assumption, you might have some broken links in those emails. We’ll be fixing that on the next release.

Please verify it works on your side as well so we know if the ticket can be successfully closed.

Hi @vovafeldman – Looks like it’s working now on my side!

Is there a way I can fix this on my own for the other sites I have as well? I always enable HTTPS on all of my sites for the admin portal which causes the change in the admin URL.

It was a fix on our backend, it should work on all of your sites πŸ™‚ Let me know if it did work, and if not – we are here to help!
