• Earlier today, I installed 2.1 and transferred everything over from my wordpress.com location, with the Cutpress theme. (http://thecitydesk.net) Things were working fine up until a few minutes ago when I tried editing some old posts. The edits wouldn’t save when I hit save.

So, then I tried a new test post- the first one, with an embedded image, would clear out the post and just put up a blank entry when I hit publish. The second attempt, sans entry went up. When I try to delete both of these, they disappear from the Manage>Posts screen, but when I go to another page I get a prompt asking if I want to navigate away from the page. When I do, the deletion is negated and the pages are still there.

Not sure what’s wrong- things have run smoothly with the install up to the point of, well, actually managing weblog entries.

    Thanks.

I’m just reinstalling the whole mess.

Okay, that didn’t do it- I can’t even delete the ‘Hello World!’ post. Using either firefox or safari for os x.

Maybe I should have stayed with the wordpress.com hosting.

When you reinstalled, did you start a new database or did you continue to use the one that appears to have issues?

I would suggest either trying to repair that DB or creating a new one.

I deleted it, installed a new database. It’s seeming as though it may almost be a browser problem, as the widget function doesn’t work, either. Apparently, some of the functionality doesn’t work in firefox for os x.

    Found the same issue here-
