New “paragraph” added when publishing

Hi,

When I upload (i.e., publish my posts), spaces appear, usually between paragraphs as though I had hit and extra “enter” between the paragraphs.

I have to go back and delete to get rid of the spaces.

But when I save, the problem often jumps to another part of the text.

After a few go-rounds, the text is finally right.

Any thoughts as to why this might be happening?

I am using a MacBook with OSX and using Safari as my browser.
