I’ve been uploading podcast episodes from Libsyn to WordPress for the past year, but just in the past week, I’ve begun seeing error messages when I do this.

    The error message reads:
getID3() requires PHP v5.3.0 or higher – you are running v5.2.17.

I don’t know what getID3() is and why it changed now. The episodes still show up on my site (if not also iTunes), though. Either way, how do I resolve this error? Thanks

getID is a PHP library that handles the tags on your podcasts. Check your hosting control panel to see if you lets you set the PHP version. If not, put in a trouble ticket with your host.

If possible select PHP 5.6 or 7.0.

    Thanks, will do!

I have been getting the same error.
I’ve looked into and checked with the host. So far as everyone can tell, I am running 5.4. So I’m not sure why WP is thinking otherwise.
