# New PHP Gives Error Code

 * When I try upgrading my PHP version on my web host server (SiteGround) my site
   gets this error at the top (see links to images).
 * The highest version of PHP I can update to is 7.3.33
 * My Woocommerce plugin also gives a warning inside the dashboard area. Unfortunately,
   the theme creator no longer supports the theme. Someone told me this is just 
   a “warning” and I can turn off debugging in the wp-config file. But is that wise?
   Should I hire a coder to fix my theme’s PHP issues causing this?

   plugin of your theme (Comet) isn’t compatible with newer versions of PHP, and
   it’s latest version was released in May 2019. The theme’s ThemeForest page contains(
   complaints, really) about not supporting the latest PHP versions.

 * Thank you so much for taking a few moments to check that for me. Yeah, the complaints
   about the theme is pretty bad. For us it has worked fine until this and I’d rather
   not change the theme because the site is generating leads pretty well and all
   our prospects say how they LOVED our website.

   a theme that didn’t get any updates in the past two years, I would switch to 
   a theme that’s actively maintained.
