 * Hey all,
 * Releasing a new plugin, one that’s been requested many many times: Edit comments.
   It allows users to edit their comments up to 30 (configurable) minutes after
   they made them. Enjoy

 * This looks like the begining of a very cool plugin!
 * Do you think it could be cookie based? Or at least have the option or something
   else besides IP based?

 * Thanks again Andrew for this plugin; very useful!

 * Is there any reason why IP checking shouldn’t be used? As the editable phase
   is transient in nature, IP checking would appear to be the best approach as a
   commentor is unlikely to be using a different IP address within the 30 minute
   threshold.

 * Thanks jalenack, I have just started to use this plugin/hack. I too was wondering
   about cookie authentication along with the time out, as the IP checking could
   allow users to edit comments other than their own on home/corporate/educational
   networks. I know my school only has two WAN IP’s for the hundreds of computers
   on the student LAN. Same with home networks — only one WAN IP for however many
   computers on the LAN.
 * Perhaps a there is a way to integrate it with the WordPress user cookie?
 * Thanks a lot.
