 * Hi,
    I have a a running and working WordPress site with a few plugins. But today
   suddenly I noticed that if I install a new plugin from the wordpress plugin directory(
   it doesn’t matter which one, I’ve tried with 4 different plugins), I get a 404
   js and css errors in the plugin admin page so it is unusable. For example, if
   I install the Jetpack plugin, I get a 404 error for this file: _[http://prevodilegalizacia.bg/new/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/\_inc/build/admin.dops-style.css?ver=4.4.2](http://prevodilegalizacia.bg/new/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/build/admin.dops-style.css?ver=4.4.2)_
 * After that I saw that the folder _jetpack_in plugins directory hasn’t been created
   at all even though I had no errors during the plugin installation. However, I
   can see the plugin in the admin menu and I can access its admin page, but it’s
   not working properly. The same thing is happening with any new plugin I install.
 * However the folders of the existing plugins are in the plugin directory and the
   old plugins are working. I checked the permissions of the folders and I believe
   they are correct: 0755 for the folders and 0644 for the files.
 * I can’t realize why this is happening. The last plugin that I had installed successfully
   and after that removed was poEdit.
 * Please help.
    Thanks.

 * First try switching to the twentysixteen theme and deactivating all plugins.
   Try installing a new plugin that’s not currently in the plugins folder. If it
   installs correctly within its own folder, then there was some sort of conflict.
   Switch back to the normal theme, then activate plugins one by one. Try installing
   another new plugin after each change.
 * You can identify a reasonably small plugin and repeatedly install and delete
   the same one over and over as a testing protocol. When installation fails to
   create a folder, the last activated entity is the problem.
 * If you cannot properly install a plugin under twentysixteen with no other plugins
   active, you probably need to do a manual reinstall. It’s the same procedure as
   a [manual update](https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update),
   except you download your current version.
 * Before going through the entire reinstall, you could try using the [moving plugin folder](https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Moving_plugin_folder)
   technique, except you would point to the normal plugins folder instead of a new
   location.

 * Hello,
    I have waited for few weeks and after that I have updated all the plugins
   that had available updates and I removed all my X-mas plugins that I had used
   to decorate my site. So the the problem has been solved this way, I haven’t tested
   each plugin separately.
 * Thanks.
