# New Post button?

 * Is there any way to get the New Post button back on the dashboard or has it been
   dropped? If so that sucks.

 * It’s been dropped. There are “Add New” links everywhere now, next to the screen
   title, but more importantly, WordPress’s direction is to utilize the _Admin Bar_
   for these extra links.

   admin bar and admin header to become more unified over the next couple of releases.
 * Truthfully I kind of miss the favorites menu, too, but in the end decreasing 
   screen clutter — even if it means adapting to a link being a few inches away —
   is something we want to work on. I would bet that someone will write a plugin
   to restore the button before long. Maybe you? 🙂

    Is there any way
   I can get an “Add New” button at the top of my blog page. Intuitively this is
   where most of my members would expect to find it – rather than in the “Admin”
   bar (which implies being an admin to post.

 * It’s in the Admin Bar, which will become pretty much required for 3.3. However
   you’re not asking an alpha/beta question so if you need more help with this, 
   please make a new topic, all your own, in another section of the forum 🙂
