# New Posts Timeouts

 * When I attempt to post certain content in my WordPress blog, it will timeout 
   and not post. I’ve tried to narrow down the potential issue by removing all special
   characters leaving only alpha numeric text.
    I thought I had narrowed it down
   to a link to a large file on the site…but even that is not consistent.
 * I’m getting frequent timeout errors from my WordPress blog recently when trying
   to post new blog entries based on the content of the blog entry itself. It’s 
   happened with multiple versions of WordPress 2.9, 3.0 and 3.0.1.
    The database
   is hosted on MySQLC4.webcontrolcenter.com and is called “techblog”. The wordpress
   blog files are at [http://www.cimbura.com/tech/wordpresstech](http://www.cimbura.com/tech/wordpresstech)
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * I was able to get this fixed. It had to do with the hosting company SRX firewall
   that was causing the timeouts. Once they white listed the site everything worked
   great.
