# New store setup error

 * I am trying to set up my store (new) but it is giving me an error. Here is the
   error message:　**NotFoundError: Failed to execute ‘removeChild’ on ‘Node’: The
   node to be removed is not a child of this node.**

 * This error usually points to a JavaScript conflict rather than a core WooCommerce
   setup issue. To help narrow it down, could you please share:
    - Where exactly does this happen (setup wizard, wp-admin, or frontend)?
    - Your **WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP version**, and **active theme**
    - Whether the issue still occurs with **only WooCommerce active** and a **default
      theme (Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four)**
 * Also, please check your **browser console** (Developer Tools → Console) and share
   any red errors shown there. That will help identify the script causing this.
