    Hi,

    I need you help friends!

I have downloaded my live website, locally.
It’s running with XAMPP on localhost.

I want to change the theme of it, the current theme we bought it from some other company!

Now I want to try Wootique , which is nice theme with eCommerce functionality. Since my current site has no eCommerce functionality , I would like to add that with this new theme.

I have UpDraftBackup plugin installed and I also took the backup of the site which is running locally.

Now what I need to do to install new theme and in order to keep the same content with the new theme as well, I mean all the menu buttons( Contact us, About Us, Products etc.)?

    Please let me know!

    Thanks.
    Pratik.

Changing the theme won’t change the WordPress content – the content will still be there, it just maybe in different locations depending on the feature differences between the different themes. For example, you may need to reassign the menu to your new theme’s primary menu location.

Since it sounds like you are working with a local build using XAMPP, why don’t you try changing themes and see what happens? Experimentation is a great way to learn.
