It looks like the new version of the plugin creates .tar files by default instead of a compressed file (.tar.gz or .zip). This filled one of my server’s storage and crashed it. Not ideal.

    Hi,

You can change the archive format from the plugin settings:

    1. Go to BackWPup > Settings in your WordPress admin.
    2. Click on the Advanced Settings tab.
    3. Under Job Settings, you’ll find the Archive Format option.
    4. Select .zip or .tar.gz instead of .tar.
    5. Save changes.

This will apply to all newly created backup jobs going forward. Let us know if you face any issues configuring it!

    Best Regards,

Why is this off by default?
