# NextGEN Custom Fields – delete fields

 * i have no idea why, but i can not delete custom fields i have created through
   the NextGEN Custom Fields plugin… anyone else have this issue? i created test
   fields just to see if they work, and now i can not delete them. when i try to
   click on “delete field” i get an error…
 * “Error Saving Data
    There was an error trying to delete the field and its data.
   Please try again in a moment. “

 * I just tried to delete a field aswel, to see if it would work fine.
    But it doesn’t
   work here either, gives the exact same error.

 * Hey guys
 * Sorry about that, there is a bug in the code. If there isn’t any data saved for
   an image for the field, you cant delete it.
 * I have fixed it, but can’t upload the code because I am in the middle of more
   upgrades.
    For the time being, just go add some random data to an image for the
   field, and then it will let you delete it.

 * Ok, I finally got around to wrapping up the additions I was making to the plugin,
   so I have updated the code.
 * You can download the new version, 0.4, that has the bug fixed.
    It also now allows
   you to add custom fields to galleries too!
