nextgen-gallery imagebrowser without any effect

Dear Forum!

I use the imagebrowser of nextgen-gallery and would like to use only prev/next buttons to navigate – no effect like shutter or highslide.

I can select “no effect” in the preferences of course but this leads to the following:
as soon as you click on an image it´s a link to it´s source. How can I prevent this?

How can I manage that the whole thing is just a simple slideshow navigated by two buttons?? 😀
