 * Hi!
 * Recently I moved a client’s website to a new server and I’ve run into some problems.
 * Little history:
    After moving I couldn’t access WordPress, I got “Error thrown[]
   operator not supported for strings”. I’ve found that the problem was with Revolution
   Slider and PHP version, I changed some code and it was fine.
 * The current problem:
    While editing a page when I click the preview or try to
   save it, it gives “Error thrown [] operator not supported for strings” again.
   I found that after deactivating NextGen Gallery, previewing or saving edits will
   result in HTTP 500 error.
 * Solutions I’ve tried so far:
    I’ve updated everything I could (WordPress itself,
   plugins). I tried checking the plugin’s PHP files but the syntax seems up-to-
   date. I’ve tried fixing the HTTP error but I would need the plugin activated
   anyway (there’s a bunch of galleries on the website). None of this helped. I
   also thought of reinstalling the plugin but haven’t tried it yet.
 * Info (checked with WP-ServerInfo plugin):
    WordPress version: 4.9.7 (same error
   with previous version) NextGen Gallery version: 3.0.6 (I also have NextGen Pro
   1.6.4) PHP version: 7.1.19 PHP Memory Limit: 1,0 GiB (although sometimes it changes
   to “unknown” despite the php.ini settings) PHP Max Upload Size: 64,0 MiB PHP
   Max Post Size: 76,0 MiB PHP Max Script Execute Time: 300s
 * Can somebody please help me with this?

 * Hi [@8emi95](https://wordpress.org/support/users/8emi95/) 🙂
 * ” after deactivating NextGen Gallery, previewing or saving edits will result
   in HTTP 500 error.”
 * – This doesn’t sound like an issue related or sourced from our plugin… have you
   tried reaching out to your hosting provider to review the errors from their end?

 * Hi Becky!
 * Thank you for the response.
    I haven’t contacted the hosting provider for the
   exact reason you talked about: It doesn’t sound like it’s related to the plugin
   and it only occurs when the plugin is DEactivated, and I would very much NEED
   the plugin activated. It’s a tattoo saloon’s site with hundreds of pictures in
   several galleries, client’s decide whether to get a tattoo there or not based
   on these pictures so it’s extremely important that the plugin is activated AND
   works properly. But it doesn’t, it gives the operator error when I try to edit
   a page, and that’s the issue. If I solve the HTTP error but the operator error
   persists (chances are it would) then I’m still not done.

 * Hi [@8emi95](https://wordpress.org/support/users/8emi95/)
 * Thanks for your reply. I can see that you have previously specified that you
   are using NextGen Gallery 3.0.6 which is the latest version with NextGen Pro
   1.6.4.
 * Being that the latest version of NextGen Pro is 2.6.3, I would update it just
   to make sure that there aren’t any conflicts between it and NextGen Gallery.
 * Please let me know if that helps,
    Mihai

 * Hi Mihai,
 * Yesterday I was finally able to solve the problem. Turns out the problem was
   actually with the theme I used, I just had to reinstall it.
    I don’t know why
   the operator error didn’t appear when I only deactivated NextGen, but at least
   NextGen and everything else works now.
 * Regardless, thank you for help. Have a nice day!
