No Child Theme

    I’m not a coder and the page you refer to asking me to generate a child theme, is not easy to understand for a novice. Would you have a child-theme based on the offical UM-Theme, that one could just install?

    There is no universal child theme. A child theme is specific to the parent theme. So, the child theme created for the UM-Theme will not work with other themes.

    Creating a child theme is easy – the simplest child theme is just a folder with two files. You also can use specific plugins for generating a child theme, if you dislike to do it manually. See plugins available in this category: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/tags/child-theme/
