• Hi

Newbie here. Just downloaded 2.1.2 using Bluehost (via Fantastico) as my server and it’s automatic installation. There is only the option to download 2.1.2, no other versions available.

Problem is that the installation is OK but there is no CSS rendering in the admin area or in the blog. It’s just raw html text.

What have I or Bluehost done wrong and what can I do to get the CSS rendering?

PS – I have installed/uninstalled WordPress (along with Nucleus, b2evolution) several times thinking something was wrong. Finally settled no WordPress but Im still not seeing any CSS. Could the multiple uninstalls have something to do with this?

    Thanks!

  • Got a link we could see?

Do you have the correct URL values at Options -> General?

actually.. the weird thing is that Bluehost drops the “www” from the URL. it doesnt allow me to correct/edit/etc this. i have to go into the address bar and insert the “www” to get the page to render.

this , by the way, happened with the other blog installs.

That’s something I suppose you want to take up with your friends at BlueHost then? Presumably, you want the www address to go the same place as the non-www address.

So, that being said… suppose you visit Options -> General and remove the WWW from the blog address field?

    Hey HandySolo,

Your first comment was the solution. I added WWW to the fields and that did the trick. Now I can get on with customizing.

Many thanks for the super-quick reply. I was expecting to wait a couple days for anyone to respond! 🙂
