# no dashboard and no admin

 * Hello i am new to wordpress. i am trying to set up a website and i am not technical.
   I can not see the dashboard or admin. i can not even see a way of deleting the
   entire account. I can not do anything with this because there is no dashboard.
   i have no access to any part of the site where i can progress with building the
   website.
 * no dashboard
 * no admin
 * no delete account option

 * If you are looking to start a blog on WordPress.ORG, this site, that was never
   an option. This site does not host anyone’s blog or WordPress installation. Your
   account here can only be used for the support forum and the learn.wordpress.org
   site.
 * If you are looking for a free blog then you may want to look at WordPress.COM
   instead.

 * I did not say that I wanted to start a post. I am interested in using WordPress.
   org. can you replace the dashboard please? Also, can you enable the admin function?
   Additionally, can you enable the ‘delete ‘account option?

 * As described above, you cannot run your own website on wordpress.org. This website
   serves to provide a platform for the community surrounding the free open source
   software. Therefore, there is no dashboard or admin area here.
 * If you want to run a WordPress-based website using the software that you can 
   download from wordpress.org, find a host and install the software there as described

   or use wordpress.COM as mentioned above.

 * can you explain why there was a dashboard initially when I opened the account?
   The admin option also worked at that point but has since disappeared.

 * I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same thing when we say “dashboard”. I
   haven’t registered an account here for a long time (why should I, I’ve been here
   long enough), but I assume you end up in your profile after registering. You 
   can access it at any time in the top right-hand corner or via this link: [https://profiles.wordpress.org/me/profile/edit/](https://profiles.wordpress.org/me/profile/edit/)–
   here you can adjust your personal settings for this platform.
 * And yes, I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same thing. What is your goal
   in registering here at wordpress.org? What specifically do you want to do? I 
   have a guess and would refer you to the answers above. Please feel free to describe
   your goal.

 * I do not necessarily have to explain to you why I want to use WordPress. Org 
   or what my specific goals are.
 * my goals do not have anything to do with the fact that the dashboard has been
   removed. And the admin option has been disabled for some reason.

 * Just to clarify — **WordPress.org has never had a website dashboard or admin 
   area.**
   What you may have seen earlier was likely your **WordPress.org profile
   page**, which is for forum and community participation only — not a website dashboard.
 * There are actually **two different platforms** with similar names:
    - **WordPress.org** → provides the _free software_ that you can download and
      install on your own hosting.
    - **WordPress.com** → is a _hosted service_ where you can create and manage 
      a website directly, with a built-in dashboard and admin area.
