Collaboration on the open source project is done on slack
see https://make.ww.wp.xz.cn/chat/
If you look at a user profile ( e.g. mine ) you will see if they have joined slack.
If you want to collaborate in other ways – e.g. commercial opportunities – people that are remotely interested in making their contact details available are most likely to publish them ( e.g. their website ) on their profile.

Hopefully I’m not just findig it, because I just found a person here on the forum who could be interested in collaboration and I can only hope he see my reply to a thread..
You can respond openly, however, you should follow forum guidelines, so your message has been deleted.
There are no private messages, all support should remain open for everyone.

Keep in mind that the WordPress Slack is explicitly NOT for support.
If anyone takes to the WordPress Slack for DMs to ask for or provide support then they are making a huge mistake.
- WordPress support, Plugin and theme support is for the forums.
- Collaboration for the WordPress project is for Slack.
Do not do this.
Hopefully I’m not just findig it, because I just found a person here on the forum who could be interested in collaboration and I can only hope he see my reply to a thread..
Using Slack that way is not appropriate and these support forums are not a social media site. The forums are not for connecting to people, just support of WordPress, add-ons (plugins and themes) and WordPress development.
Edit: If anyone is looking for work via Slack they’ll be banned as soon as that’s found. This is not your or anyone’s market place.
As I mentioned above
Collaboration on the open source project is done on slack
As Jan says it is not for other purposes.
