I’ve looked everywhere on the site and contacted customer support. There is no way to export my data. * Can I (trepeditiously so) simply make the upgrade without affecting the database? * I’d really love to upgrade to 1.5. I think that stinks and is a damn good reason to leave them. I found it very difficult to set it up the way they advise in the FAQs. You can download phpMyAdmin from their own site and ftp it to your 1&1 account and set it up that way if you can’t get this to work for you. I’ve been using 1&1 for awhile now and am quite happy with it…. I’ve had less problems with them than I ve seen others around here. * Using a “missing” feature is a poor excuse to not use a host. While we are at it, why don’t we just blast all the host that don’t allow you to install WP via Fantastico and leave them simply because they don’t offer it built-in. Please, I thought you were better than that. * At any rate, it’s possible to create a folder, upload phpMyAdmin, set the appropriate config settings (and upload it too) and do what you need. It took awhile to get used to the way they do things and have things laid out, but it all seems to be there.
