    I’m working in my localhost environment(MAMP) using the twentyseventeen theme. I can’t seem to get .pdf documents to embed in a post and the error “no preview available” appears. I disabled my Adblocker extension; tried different browsers and I tried previewing the site in different themes; twentyfifteen and twentysixteen. Also, this problem seems to occur with the embedded doc plugin from another vendor.

    OS X 10.10.4

    I’ll go ahead and answer my question. The plugin will not work in a local environment.
