no widgets options under Appearance

    A client asked me to help with an old site. WP was up to date (6.3) but the theme is customized old 2014… no info on what exactly was done,.

    I’ve set up a new site and noticed there is no widgets options in the backed. I’ve tried the basic stuff like disabling all the plugins and switching theme, tried classic widgets and editor and nothing…

    any advice on what to try next?
