# None users cant post comments

 * I have set that none registered users can post comments, but they still cannot
   comment, theres a bug within the comments.php. it keeps saying “Sorry the comment
   area are closed”
 * can anyone fix or no the error? code is below thanks

 * I just tried it… it seems to be working. After I submit my comment i get this
   message:
 * >  Your comment is awaiting moderation.
 * If you don’t want it, you can [turn it off](http://codex.wordpress.org/Comment_Moderation).
 * But upgrade your software, because version 2.3.1 is insecure. You don’t want 
   to turn into a spam magnet!

 * its 4:30 am and i need sleep, i couldnt figure out how to make a simple wp forum
   post so hopefully if people are still having this problem they will find my responce.
   i recently had the problem with posts saying comments are closed even with the“
   Allow people to post comments on the article” option in settings>discussion checked.
   the way i solved it was by manually going to each post (manage>posts) and scrolling
   down to the bottom where it says “comments and pings”. opened that part up and
   sure enough the ‘allow comments’ box was unchecked. its very simple and possibly
   noobish. hope this helped someone.
    btw i have version 2.6.
