• Hi:

My blog receives many comments for moderation that have links back to sites selling fashion items like Louis Vuitton and Uggs. The comments are written generically and the English grammar is often poor.

I’m just curious as to what other bloggers consider protocol/normal practice for approving comments. Obviously I want as many comments as I can get in my blog, which helps in SEO results, ya? At the same time I do want relevant comments that add value. Do most bloggers approve these types of comments to increase the blog’s SEO results, or do most bloggers ignore/delete them?

    Thank you.

  • No one (that I know of) approves spam comments. Comments generally offer no SEO benefit and spam comments definitely won’t help your site’s SEO
