# Normalize database?

 * I would like to add in a good 40-odd custom fields. I understand that with WP
   you can put in an unlimited number of fields. In creating these extra fields,
   would they all go into one big table?
    If so, how does that affect performance
   vs. somehow going under the hood to normalize the database in the ‘proper’ way?
