Site Kit uses the stadard Google report API’s, which I believe shows data based up until the current day. For that reason it’s normal that today’s data is not included when checking your Site Kit dashboards.
While I am unsure on whether the cut off point assigned to a particular timezone I can check this with the team.
Note also that while you’re unable to view todays metrics within Site Kit there is an open feature request in relation to real time data. While this is more immediate traffic and not respective of the current day feel free to subscribe to that issue if that’s something you may be interested in.
I’ll also report back to you here once I have an update from your team on your query.
Thanks James, even if there is real-time data eventaully…..it would be good to have current days stats. This means there is the need to still visit GA account to see basic stats for current day.

@creativewebtech I agree it would be useful to eventually show real time data. It’s possible that when Site Kit displays data based on a connected GA4 property and not a Universal Type property (UA) that the data will include more recent data, and not up to the previous day. I will however be checking this week the team and report back to you here.
When I’m checking this with the team I’ll also enquire about the open feature request and whether it’s possible to show real time data at present, or is this a feature considered on the immediate roadmap.

Many thanks for your patience on this. I’ve spoken with the team and the plugin uses the last day in your local time zone, as provided by the Analytics API. For that reason you should have your data recording from the previous 24 hours at most, local to your timezone.
While I’ll close this support topic feel free to subscribe to the mentioned GitHub feature request in relation to real time data within the plugin. This isn’t something on the immediate roadmap and requires further team review.
For more up to date information you can also use the Site Kit click through link to Analytics directly, where you can easily access the real time report from the Analytics web interface.
